What is a spray wall?
A spray wall is a climbing wall densely covered in holds, with no preset color-coded routes. Climbers build their own problems from any combination of holds, so a hold map and a shared problem list are what make it usable.
Does Sprai work with home walls?
Yes, and it is what Sprai is built for. Map the wall in your garage, basement, or shed and it gets the same shared problem list and voted grades a commercial board has. Gym spray walls work exactly the same way.
How does hold detection work?
You take one photo and Sprai runs it through a hold-detection model trained on climbing walls. It outlines every hold it finds and turns the photo into a map you can tap. You get it straight away: there is no queue, and nobody reviews your wall by hand. Check the map before you start setting, and if a hold is missing you can flag it so we can improve the model.
What happens when I change the holds on my wall?
Mapping a wall is free every time, so you can re-photograph it as often as you want. Today, a big change means mapping the wall again from scratch. We are building wall reset so that a new photo keeps the problems that still work and shows you which ones the change affected.
Can I share my wall with other climbers?
Yes. A wall can be private and invite-only, or public so climbers at your gym can find it and climb everything on it. Either way, everyone sets, grades, rates, and marks sends on the same list.
Can I save beta videos and mark sends?
Yes. Beta videos attach directly to a problem so the sequence stays with the climb, and every problem shows who has flashed or sent it.
What does Sprai cost?
Sprai is free on iOS and Android. Mapping a wall, setting problems, filtering, grading, rating, and marking sends are all free, on up to three private walls. Mapping is free every time, so re-photographing a wall after you change the holds costs nothing. Sprai Pro raises the limits: more private walls, more and longer videos, and the hold heatmap.
Do my wall and my problems stay mine?
Yes. Your walls and problems are stored on your phone as well as on our servers, so the app still works when there is no signal in the gym or the garage. You can ask us for a copy of your data, or delete your account, at any time.
